Analyze: Coach's Eye

Coach's Eye is a great tool for Physical education teachers to use
This picture shows how a teacher
can analyze the proper volley ball form
for students to learn how to assess and perform the proper technique to certain sporting, or lifting skills. This application works as a second instructor by allowing students to record other students in motion in order to break down each aspect to allow peer assessments on learning how to perform different skills.

This picture shows a teacher breaking
down the proper techniques for a dead lift.
There are a few different price options for this application. There is an option to get this app for $4.99 with just minimal tools used to break down videos.  There also is a Coach's Eye pro plan, where teachers can buy this application for $5.00 a month billed annually which includes more software ability and other incentives.  The last option is the Coach's Eye VIP plan which is $10.00 a month billed annually with more upgrades.

I feel this application would be beneficial in the physical education classroom because it can allow the teachers to now bring the class together and be able to break down what they are teaching in order for students to have a better visual and understanding to how to fix the problems they are having.
I would rate this application a 4 out of 5 stars because it is a great idea and is a great visual for students who need things to be broken down in order to learn something. It is fairly priced and I think can be affordable of the teachers to buy or the school to provide.

  1. Hi Eric,
I really like this app! I was thinking about using this one as well. I really love how it gives an image of the student and it allows both the teacher/coach and student to analyze where they went wrong or right in their form. Very beneficial in sports and PE class today.

  2. Great app for teachers to assess student progress in PE. It also could be useful for one-on-one conferences with students to spur conversation and to have students self-assess. Thanks for posting!
